URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR UKRAINE & RUSSIA

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Yeshua Ha-Mashiach. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

It is somehow difficult these days to read the first phrase "always rejoice".

I was born and raised in the former Soviet Union. During this time, I managed to finish middle school, University, and served in the Soviet Army (2 years) - in a tank repair battalion in Siberia, not far from Khabarovsk and the border with China.

The Russian military concept is not much different from the Soviet one, which was "victory at any cost". The life of a soldier is valued less than a Kalashnikov assault rifle. At that time there was no big difference between Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and other nations. Only Jews were kept at a distance (Slavic anti-Semitism affected).

Today I watch with horror what had happened. Russia is bombing Ukraine. This was unimaginable even in a nightmare. It is clear that the Elites solve imperial problems, and the people pay for everything with their blood. I can feel this problem, but it is impossible to express it in a page of text. One solution is "pray without ceasing" 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Joy can be forgotten for now.

Dear friends, I ask you to pray and ask the Lord God to stop this senseless, ambitious war. Pray for those who are now under shelling. As an Israeli, I know this too. Three wars have passed over us in my 30 years in Israel. God forbid anyone these experiences and sensations. But Heaven hears Prayers... Unceasing Prayers... In the Jewish Kaddish prayer, there are the words "He who creates peace in heaven. He will send us peace... world peace... Peace to Israel... peace to Ukraine and Russia.

  Shalom dear friends, brothers and sisters, and partners in service for Zion. I would like to report to you in general about this past year. I hope that each year makes us all wiser, more experienced, more dependent on the Lord God, and more willing to do His will. 2021 was remembered by many for the difficulties with Covid (I personally spent nine days in the hospital, and thanks to the Grace of God I survived.), then 2022 became a year of many corrections. Unfortunately, Covid did not go away in 2022. Unfortunately, the war between Russia and Ukraine began, we saw troubles and flows of refugees in Europe, and we saw new immigrants and refugees from this war in Israel.   Congregation news: lots of meetings. Feast of Trumpets, day of atonement, Sukkot and, of course, Simchat Torah (Torah holiday). We have had lots of guests from all over the world — from China to Latvia and Norway. We have seen the ministry of prophecy and words of knowledge, and it was a special time to be renewed in the presence of the Lord and with family and friends from all over the world. WE ARE GLADLY TIRED. Everyone wanted this celebration, and in a sense, in the "incomprehensible situation" that is around us, it was a wonderful time from the Lord. The “situation around” is not clear with our government elections (I ask for your prayers for the Will of God). There are a lot of military rumors around, and the situation with the Russia / Ukraine war has a very strong influence on us.   Thank you for being with us throughout 2022. With your support, we were able to serve the Lord effectively in Israel!
